He was born in San Francisco, 1958. He moved to Washington State in 1960, graduating from Hanford High School in 1979 and Washington State University in 1987 with a B.A. in English. Jerry currently lives in Spokane with his wife, stepson, six parrots, two dogs, and a cat. He also is an Eagle Scout and a veteran of the Washington Army National Guard. Erik SchubachAn international bestselling author, Erik got his start writing novels by accident. He had always been drawn to strong female characters in books, like Honor Harrington. And he also believes that there is a lack of LGBT characters in media. So one day he came up with a story idea that combines the two... two days later he completed the manuscript for Music of the Soul.
Each of his books features strong likable female characters that are flawed. He thinks that flaws and emotional or physical scars make us human and give us more character than simply conforming to some social norm.
